Virtual Congress SOMESICS - 2020 "Telesimulation and  return to face-to-face simulation activities". 

The review committee of the Mexican Society of Simulation in Health Sciences invites all health sciences and simulation education professionals to participate in:

SOMESICS Virtual Congress - 2020: "Telesimulation and  return to face-to-face simulation activities". 

Which will take place from September 2 to 4, 2020 in virtual mode.

The objectives of the congress are:

·  Promote the exchange of experiences among participants on innovation practices and thus favor collaboration among peers in the area of health education.

·  Build multidisciplinary collaboration networks, among all the areas involved in the area of simulation in health sciences, interested in educational issues.

·  Appreciate the advances and debates, in addition to the knowledge, that are produced in the field of simulation and health education.

Bases and requirements

The call is open to anyone involved in the area of simulation-based education in health sciences.

Registration will take place on the SOMESICS website: https://www.somesics.org/eventos  starting on August 3, 2020.

The congress will be held through virtual rooms, which will be broadcast live and at the end of the presentation the video will remain, made by the speaker, which will be available for the 3 days that the congress lasts, for continuous access and reproduction.

Free works will be accepted in abstract (maximum 500 words without including references) with any of the following topics:

·  Training and continuing medical education.

·  Innovation of teaching strategies.

·  Innovation in simulators.

·  Simulation and inter, multi and transdisciplinary teams.

·  The patient and his environment as the axis in clinical education.

·  The standardized patient and its clinical application.

·  Free theme.

General requirements for presentations and papers: 

All works received will be reviewed by the committee for acceptance, its decision will be final.

1) For your work to be submitted for evaluation by the review committee, it must comply with the guidelines and at least the main author must be registered for the congress. 

You can participate with more than 1 job.

2) Once you have registered for the meeting, you must fill out the submission form for your work summary:

3) The deadline for receiving papers is August 21, 2020. 

4) The works that are sent in a later date will not be taken into account.

5) The notification of acceptance or non-acceptance of your work will be from August 19, 2020.

If accepted, you will be provided with the format for making the video and the characteristics it must have, the main one being that it must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes. 

The video must be consistent with the work summary that has been submitted.

Modalities of presentation of the Works:

At the time of registering a contribution, the authors must mention what will be the modality of their presentation, which can be:

·  Live or pre-recorded oral presentation

·  Pecha Kucha: Presentation format in which a presentation is presented in a simple and informal way through 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each.

·  electronic poster 

·  Live or pre-recorded workshop 

·  TED Talk 

Each presenter must provide a schedule in which they are available, of at least 1 hour during the congress, during which attendees can contact the speaker to interact, discuss questions, comments, experiences, etc. 

Access to this platform will be given to the lead author to be shared with their team.

A certificate of participation per job will be awarded.
